BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A 16-year-old girl running to catch a bus in Beaverton Thursday night was hit by a car, police said.

She ran against a red light at Southwest Hall Boulevard and Greenway Boulevard and was hit by a car going through a green light, said Officer Mike Rowe of the Beaverton Police Department.

The girl was taken to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, Rowe said.
