Better late than never?
After a winter snow pack that has hovered around half of normal, a series of February storms could erase most of that deficit by the end of next week.
KGW Chief Meteorologist Matt Zaffino says "feet of snow coming to the Cascades" over the next seven days.
Zaffino said four to eight inches of new snow were expected by Friday night, with a couple more inches on Saturday and then anywhere from six inches to a foot of snow Sunday.
The snow continues into next week, with four to eight inches of snow Monday, and up to a foot more on Tuesday and Wednesday.

By Thursday, snow levels were expected to drop to 1,000 feet, bringing the possibility of a dusting of snow even in the upper hills around Portland.
If you add it all up, ski areas on Mt. Hood were likely to get three to five feet of snow between now and Thursday.
