PORTLAND -- For the second year in a row, Connor Aberle of Vancouver is headed to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C., where last year he finished 17th out of 298 contestants.
He correctly spelled viscidity (the property of being cohesive and sticky) to take the local title. The competition was held Saturday at the Hollywood Theater in Northeast Portland.
In the video still, is Mihir Paralkar, 11, of Tigard's Twality Middle School.
