PORTLAND – The K-9 killed in the line of duty last month in Portland was honored at a memorial at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale Wednesday night.

Mick, a 2-year-old German Shepherd, died from a single bullet wound after he and his partner, officer Jeff Dorn, were confronting a robbery suspect on April 16.

Dorn, who was injured in the shooting, later credited Mick for saving his life.
