PORTLAND -- An assistant Boy Scout troop leader has been accused of sexually assaulting three boys in Clackamas County.
As first reported by KGW's news partner The Oregonian, the suspect was identified as 18-year-old Jacob Wittren, who was arrested on incest charges last month.
The newspaper reports that between June and December 2010, Wittren abused three boys who were Boy Scouts at the time.
Matthew Devore, an executive with Boy Scouts of America, met with parents from the troop to offer support.
“The behavior included in these allegations runs counter to everything for which the Boy Scouts of America stands,” Devore said. “Upon learning of these allegations we immediately removed this individual from scouting."
Wittren was scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon on six counts of second-degree sodomy.
