The Sunshine State is used to snakes, sharks and storms but now it's dealing with a new problem: giant mosquitoes.
They're officially called “gallinippers” but most Floridians just call them annoying.
Think of how big a regular mosquito is. Now think of one that's the size of a quarter.
They've always lived in Florida. But scientists say there will be a lot more of them this year thanks to all the water from tropical storm Debby and a mild winter.
There is a silver lining though. The gallinipper is so big it actually eats other mosquitoes as well as humans
