PORTLAND -- As part of Military Night at the Moda Center Monday, legendary Portland Trail Blazers announcer Bill Schonely got the chance to direct the Oregon Symphony in the national anthem.

Hall-of-Famer Schonely is also a former U.S. Marine, who served from 1948 to 1953.

He called more than 2,500 games in his career as an announcer.
