STAYTON, Ore. -- A 10-year-old girl came up with a creative way to raise money for the American Heart Association.
Liberty Bundy is walking from Stayton to Portland - more than 50 miles - as her own special fundraising journey. Her trek was expected to take nearly two days and she started Thursday morning.
A classmate of Bundy's named Rachel was born with heart disease and Liberty wants to help out.
Rachel and her mom said they planned to walk part of the way with Liberty and really appreciate what she's doing for them.
Bundy's goal is to raise $5,000.
