Record rainfall for the date at PDX.  So far we've had .41" of rain over the metro area and that breaks an old record of .12" of rain set back in 2005.  Plenty of dry weather this evening, but showers and thunderstorms will be possible.

A low pressure center will move overhead Wednesday.  Periods of steady, heavy rain will be likely for the Portland metro area, the coast, gorge and Mt. Hood.  Thunderstorms and hail will be possible.  Metro rainfall may top .50 inches!  The snow level tomorrow will fall from near 8,000' early morning to near 6,000' late afternoon.  Timberline Lodge could see a snow mix with ground temperatures above freezing.

Showers may linger Thursday morning, followed by dry and warmer weather into this weekend.
