PORTLAND -- A fire that tore through a truck repair facility in Portland caused $1 million in damages.

The fire started in the tractor of a semi inside PAPE Kenworth on North Columbia Boulevard, said Lt. Rich Chatman of Portland Fire & Rescue.

Several other semis and the building were damaged.

Investigators determined that the fire and water from the sprinkler system caused an estimated $1 million in damages.
