CASCADE LOCKS -- Dramatic flourishes of ice have formed at Multnomah Falls.

Visitors to waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge found slick conditions as they tried to hike to various viewpoints along the old scenic highway.

The crackle of falling ice mixed with squeals as some visitors slipped along trails near the visitor's center at Multnomah Falls.
