BATTLE GROUND, Wash. – On the anniversary of a Battle Ground woman's death, her family is making a renewed plea to the public to help them find answers.
Tatyana Tupikova died from blunt force trauma and was found on May 9, 2012, along State Route 503.
Her family has placed flowers at that spot every month since then to honor her memory.
“Sometimes we gather, we laugh. We don't cry as much anymore and we know that's God doing it,” said her brother Viktor Tupikova.
Police suspect Tupikova was the victim of a hit-and-run. But clues have been few and far between, and her family says it's been difficult to move on.
“You're still thinking she's somewhere,” said her sister Olga Tupikova. “You still talk to her. You still thinking she'll answer one day, but no.”
Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the Battle Ground police department. A $1,000 reward was offered for tips that lead to an arrest.
