PORTLAND -- A Southeast Portland woman is concerned after she said a pack of coyotes is coming too close to her home, near where children and pets play.
Annie Zander lives on Southeast 98th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Recently, she's noticed the pack roaming around, seemingly unafraid of humans.
"They've eaten all the animals that are around here. We're finding carcasses," she said. "We no longer have squirrels or raccoons out here."
KGW cameras caught the coyotes roaming in the area (photo below, tap here for mobile).
Zander said she contacted police and wildlife officials, but they said they only get involved if the coyotes actively attack a person or an animal.
"Our dogs have been attacked," Zander said. "They're now coming out in broad daylight and coming into our yards."
