TANGENT, Ore. – A speedboat sped toward a crowd in Linn County last weekend, sending spectators jumping out of the way.

The frightening scene unfolded Saturday at the U.S. Sprint Boat Association race in Tangent.

A fan recorded the scene on his cell phone. The boat missed a turn and left the water going nearly 60 miles an hour. Then, it hit a protection fence and everyone managed to get out of the way in time.

No one was seriously hurt. /p>
