May 18th, 1980, the northwest and the world saw one of the largest natural disasters ever witnessed in modern times. On that day,  Mt. St. Helens, of the Cascade range in the Pacific Northwest, exploded. Tracy Barry and photojournalist Steve Redlin document the eruption, the destruction, the aftermath and the history of the mountain.
