Oregon at another record high for gasoline prices

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Although the national price of gasoline has backed off a bit, to $4.08 a gallon, Oregon's has hit a record average $4.27.

Spokeswoman Marie Dodds of AAA says the statewide average for regular unleaded in Oregon jumped another 9 cents in the past week.

 Also: Cheap gas prices in Portland

She says Oregon and Washington are among 31 states, including the District of Columbia, with averages for regular unleaded at or above $4 per gallon -- up from 25 states last week.

AAA predicts that the national average will remain in the ballpark of $4.10 a gallon as the July 4th holiday approaches.
