Horizon to end flights from K-Falls, Coos Bay
06:42 PM PDT on Saturday, June 28, 2008
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- Horizon Air will end its flights to Portland from Klamath Falls and North Bend/Coos Bay in the fall.
Airline officials said the decision was based on rising fuel prices, and lack of interest in the route.
United Airlines is starting direct service between Klamath Falls and San Francisco in July, and may pick up the Portland route.
As fuel prices have risen, similar reductions have occurred in rural communities across the country.
