Portland Commissioner Nick Fish says the Occupy Portland protest has caused an estimated $19,000 in damage to trees and other vegetation at Chapman Square and Lownsdale Park.
Late Monday, the Occupy Portland website posted a response saying "many occupiers have expressed a willingness to find a solution to any damage the park may receive as a result of the occupation."
