The founder of Panera Bread told the Portland Tribune this week that some of Portland's homeless have "a sense of entitlement" that homeless people in other cities don't have.
Portland's pay-what-you-will Panera Cares location is struggling to stay afloat, bringing in just 60% of the requested donation for each dish. Other Panera Cares restaurants bring in 80% of the revenue of a regular location.
Do you agree? Does Portland's homeless population have a unique or undue sense of entitlement?
