Portland Opera: Keller Auditorium
Joe Smith heads to Portland Opera tonight for Philip Glass' Orphée, which is being recorded for the first-ever commercial album of the opera.
Unlike Glass' postmodern pieces, Orphée is based on Jean Cocteau's 1949 film of the same name, which is based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
Orphée has one final performance, Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available online.
