Crown Point
While reporting on high winds at Crown Point in the Columbia River Gorge, KGW's Keely Chalmers learns the hard way why you shouldn't tape a "standup" at the top of the stairs.
Viewer Steve Pierce sent us a photo of his anemometer registering a 100.9 mph wind gust. Combined with the 35 degree air temperature, that makes for a wind chill of -10 degrees.
The fall looks worse than it was -- Keely escaped with a scrape on the chin. She got back up and taped the standup... while kneeling.
