Stephanie talks with neuroanatomist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, author of the memoir My Stroke of Insight.
In 1997, at age 37, Taylor suffered a massive stroke. As a brain scientist, she recognized the signs and was able to seek treatment quickly. She went on to a full recovery, turning her story into a bestselling book.
Dr. Taylor is in Portland for a fundraiser with St. Mary's Academy.
