Hynix
The company says it lost almost $700 million in the three months ending June 30th.
Just a year earlier, the company had posted a net profit of roughly $200 million.
It was the third straight loss for Hynix.
Last week, Hynix said it would close down its facility in Eugene, as it moves to more advanced technology and industry price declines.
It is considering selling the facility's equipment, building and land.
Hynix Semiconductor is the world's second-largest maker of computer memory chips after South Korean rival Samsung Electronics.
