Happy Friday! This morning we have plenty of showers and even some thunderstorms over the area. The coast will continue to see a chance for thunderstorms, but we shouldn't see more than showers inland. Look for mostly cloudy skies with temps around 50°. The rain will taper as we head throughout the day, mainly calming down and even drying out into tonight. Temporarily.

Tomorrow morning VERY heavy rain will increase over the area. The heaviest rain will be at elevation but will basically be with us through Sunday. I expect:

10-12 inches in the Cascades

7-11 inches in the Coast Range and at the Coast

2-5 inches in the western valleys.

Rain finally tapers off to showers Monday and Tuesday.

Look for more rain and finally some mountain snow on Christmas Eve, with clearing and cooler weather likely setting in on Christmas Day.
