A few showers are dotting the ocean off the Oregon coast, but any rain that moves inland Wednesday or Thursday will be very light and scattered.
A partly to mostly cloudy sky carried through Thursday, with high temperatures in western Oregon in the 75-80 degree range.
Sunshine returns Friday with a high of 77°.
The last weekend of summer will be clear, and brings a warm-up.
Highs will be in the low 80s Saturday and near 90° Sunday as east winds return.
Those east winds may push wildfire smoke back into the Willamette Valley this weekend.
