Portland Timbers coach does the ice bucket challenge KGW
If you've scrolled through Facebook or Instagram in the past few weeks, you've surely seen someone do the "ice bucket challenge." It's become a viral way to raise money and awareness about ALS - also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
In just the past two weeks participants have raised more than 1.3 million dollars for the ALS Association.
So many people have dumped buckets of ice on their heads, and then posted the videos and challenged their friends to do the same.
Over the weekend, the Kennedy family accepted the challenge, and even nominated grandma Ethel.
And now, the coach of the Portland Timbers took the challenge. On Monday night, the team posted a video on their Facebook page, showing coach Caleb Porter getting doused in a huge bucket full of freezing cold water.
Afterwards, he nominated 3 people to complete the challenge: Portland Thorns Alex Morgan, US men's national team coach Jürgen Klinsmann, and The Oregonian's John Canzano.
But he nominated an extra one too: Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola. And while he said Pep's name, he even did a handshake motion. Remember last week when Pep refused to shake Porter's hand after the MLS All-Star game?
Their friendly feud continues... We'll have to wait and see whether Pep is up to this icy challenge, or if he'll refuse this too.
