PORTLAND -- Tuesday and Wednesday saw back-to-back days of record-breaking rain in Portland, according to KGW Chief Meteorologist Matt Zaffino.
On Tuesday, Portland saw .37 inches of rain, breaking the old record of .06 by more than six times. That record had stood since 1959.
Then, on Wednesday, Portland had .41 inches of rain by 5 p.m., breaking the old record of .12 inches set in 2005.
Thursday was expected to see more showers in the morning before sunshine moves in, and the weekend was expected to clear up with temps in the 80s and 90s.
