PORTLAND A brand new high-tech medical facility opened in Portland Thursday which may change the face of Oregon's medical field.

The 12-story Collaborative Life Sciences Building on the South Waterfront was a $295 million project and the first of this scale to combine resources of multiple universities.

The space will allow Oregon Health and Science University to train 40 more doctors, 25 more pharmacists, and a dozen more dentists and physician assistants per year.
