PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 23-year-old man described as a person of interest in the assault of a woman on the Umatilla River levee.
The East Oregonian newspaper reports Pendleton police have been searching for Danny Wu after video footage showed him near the location where the 53-year-old woman was attacked last week.
The arrest warrant is for misdemeanor criminal trespass at city parks and the river levee.
Police say Wu's name might be an alias. He was arrested twice earlier this year and has a tattoo on his left wrist with the words Semper Fi.
He lived in California before moving to Pendleton.
