PORTLAND A thief broke into a car inside of a Northeast Portland parking garage and stole a woman s purse with her IDs, credit cards, cash and a camera last April and now police need the public s help tracking down the prowler.

On April 27 at around 7:15 p.m., the thief hit the car in the Liberty Centre parking garage at 650 Northeast Holladay Street, police said.

The thief was then caught on camera using the victim s credit card to buy TriMet passes.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, wearing a plaid shirt, dark jeans and white shoes.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Leave a tip at 503-823-4357.
