PORTLAND -- A man was stabbed in Northeast Portland Wednesday night and the suspect was not located, police said.
Just after 10:30 p.m. police were called to the report of a stabbing at Northeast 19th Avenue and Northeast Alberta Street, according to Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
Officers at the scene found 47-year-old Eric Wayne Ross suffering from several stab wounds. He was taken to a Portland hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A K-9 unit was called in to help search for the suspect, but he was not located. He was described as 5-foot-8, 160 lbs., and probably in his 30s. He was wearing dark clothing.
Ross likely knew the suspect, Simpson said. Assault detectives were investigating.
