OREGON CITY, Ore. -- Two cougar sightings were reported over the weekend in Oregon City, police said.

One woman reported that a cougar was lying the yard of her Harley Avenue home just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Oregon City Police Department.

Officers went to the scene, but did not find the cougar.

At about 3 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported seeing two cougars near Swan Avenue and Cleveland Street, about a half-mile from the Saturday sighting.

Officers again responded to the scene but did not find any cougars.

Police reported the sightings to the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife.

Cougars have been spotted at least 10 times throughout the Portland metro area in recent weeks.
