BEND, Ore. Thousands of people are ready leave at a moment s notice as the Two Bulls fire continues to loom outside Bend.

People who live close to the fire said they re nervous and concerned that the wind could bring the flames right into their neighborhoods at any time.

Mark Smith filled the back of his car with things he can t replace, including keepsake baby blankets and his wife s wedding dress.

We re exhausted, he said. You try to get some sleep and you re always worried.

The Smiths live just west of Bend, in the Saddleback subdivision, where around 250 homes have been threatened by the wildfire.

After being evacuated Saturday night, the Smiths were allowed to return home Monday. However, they were warned that another evacuation order could come at any time.

It s always in the back of your mind, but we ve never had to do this and you re never prepared, Smith said. People say, Make a list, be prepared, but when it actually happens, you re not prepared, he said.

As of early Monday evening, the wildfire was only five percent contained.
