CARLTON, Ore. -- A 2-alarm fire at Scott Paul Wines in Carlton caused at least $300,000 Sunday night, fire officials said.
Crews were called just after 10:30 p.m. to the fire at 128 South Pine Street.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire in the fermentation room of the winery, said spokeswoman Darci Ancalade of the Carlton Fire District.
The fire was upgraded to two alarms and additional resources were called in from Yamhill, McMinnville, Dayton, Lafayette, and Gaston.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze, Ancalade said.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation Monday morning, but arson was ruled out.
Ancalade said the building did not have a fire sprinkler system. Damage was estimated at between $300,000 and $400,000.
