VANCOUVER -- Burglars stole a Vancouver woman s life savings and family heirlooms, and she has offered a reward to help her get her belongings back.

The burglars broke into the Northeast Vancouver home between 3 and 8 p.m. last Thursday night, said victim Jordan Ruemler. She said they stole a 200-lb. safe packed with memories of her best friend, who was killed by a drunk driver.

To not have the only things I have left from my best friend is just sickening, she said.

Ruemler said the burglars seemed to know exactly where to go. They stole the safe and didn t take anything else from the house.

A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest or to the return of her belongings.
