HAZEL DELL, Wash. -- Two men accused of robbing a Hazel Dell credit union Thursday were arrested after trying to leave the scene in a taxi, police said.

Police were called at about 2:30 p.m. to the report of a robbery inside the IQ Credit Union, at 13505 NE 10th Ave., said Sgt. Fred Nieman of the Clark Co. Sheriff's Office.

The suspects reportedly got into a passing cab, which was pulled over soon afterward on Interstate 5. The freeway was temporarily closed near the 78th Avenue exit while police took the suspects into custody.

Nieman said additional details would be released Thursday evening.
