GRESHAM, Ore. A man was shot twice outside a Gresham apartment complex and said he doesn't know why someone would target him.

Witnesses called 911 to report gunshots just after 6 p.m., Monday at the Grant View Court Apartments, located near the intersection of SE 190th and Yamhill.

The victim, described only as a 29-year-old man, said he was in the parking lot when someone fired at him. He said he has no idea who the gunman was or why he was targeted.

The man suffered two bullet wounds to his leg and was taken to Oregon Health and Science University for treatment. His name and condition have not yet been released.

The gunman was described as a young man, unknown race, with darker skin, and standing approximately 5-feet-5-inches tall. He was wearing a black beanie-style hat and black coat.

Members of the East Metro Gang Enforcement Team and Gresham detectives were investigating the case. Anyone with information that may help investigators was asked to call the Gresham Police Tip Line at 503-618-2719.
