PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Portland police say they've been unable to identify a woman found dead in Portland's Washington Park or to determine how she died.

Her body was found June 26, and police said they consider the death suspicious.

Police said it appeared she was a transient and had only recently become so.

The police said Wednesday an autopsy has been performed, but the medical examiner is not yet able to establish a cause of death.

Police say they have no reports of missing people matching the description of the young woman, described as in her teens or early 20s, about 5 feet tall and 100 pounds with long, straight black hair.

Police say she appears to be white and perhaps partly of either Asian or Hispanic descent.
