GLENDALE, Ore. The Oregon military and the Office of Emergency Management are sending 125 soldiers and five helicopters to help battle the Douglas Complex fire that has burned more than 25,000 acres in southern Oregon.

Multiple other state agencies have already responded to the fire that has forced the evacuation warning of some 400 homes near the town of Glendale.

On Tuesday, Gov. John Kitzhaber declared a state of emergency for Josephine and Douglas counties as firefighters continued to battle the growing wildfire.
