PORTLAND Police arrested a man Friday accused of sexually assaulting a stranger in Southeast Portland last month.

Adam Duus, 28, was arrested and charged with rape, kidnapping, burglary, coercion, unlawful use of a weapon and sex abuse after he allegedly attacked a woman near Southeast 174th Avenue and Southeast Division Street.

The victim told detectives Duus pushed his way into her home during the day on Wednesday, March 20. Police said the man may have been stalking her and was armed with a knife.

Duus will be arraigned in court Monday.
