PORTLAND -- City of Portland planning officials will hear testimony Tuesday criticizing plans to build new apartments without any parking.

The controversial apartments have been going up in various places on the east side of the city, but now one neighborhood group is planning to fight back.

Residents of the Beaumont-Wilshire and Richmond neighborhoods said if the city doesn't act on their concerns, they may take legal action to block those buildings that force renters to park on nearby streets.

The parking forum was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
