PORTLAND -- Balloons were released Saturday from the Wall of Hope for Kyron Horman Saturday.

Friends and supporters of Kyron and his family gathered at the Wall of Hope, where they shared their hopes and prayers for Kyron's safe return.

Afterwards, many shed tears as balloons were sent skyward from the school where Kyron disappeared June 4.

The gathering came at the end of a busy week for the grand jury working on the investigation.

On Friday, the grand jury heard from the principal of Skyline Elementary. Several other school employees have also been subpoenaed.

Overall, the grand jury has heard from more than a dozen witnesses and issued hundreds of subpoenas.
