BEND, Ore. (AP) -- Bend police say the first major prostitution bust in recent memory landed six women and three men in jail after an online sting.
Police say they had noticed an increase in online postings for sexual services, so they used numerous Web sites to arrange meetings.
The nine were arrested Friday in southwest Bend.
Besides prostitution or prostitution-related charges, the counts included possession of child pornography and hindering prosecution. One suspect was wanted on a warrant on a heroin charge.
