TIGARD, Ore. The Tigard Festival of Balloons kicked off the annual festival Friday morning.
The festival, celebrating its 30th year, takes place June 20 22 at Cook Park on SW 92nd Ave in Tigard.
More than 20 balloons fly every morning of the festival between 5:30 and 6:15 a.m., weather permitting. Balloons did not fly Friday morning, but skies were clear enough Saturday to ignite balloons and set them aloft.
