PORTLAND -- Do you suffer from road rage? A new survey says that's not very likely, if you live in Portland.
The study conducted by AutoVantage found that Portland has the most courteous drivers in the U.S. But you've probably noticed this already if you drive around town.
The study ranked 25 of America's largest cities, using this criteria:
- Least likely to honk the horn at another driver
- Least likely to have been speeding
- Least likely to have seen other drivers cutting between lanes without warning
This is the second time in five years that Portland has been ranked at the top. In 2009, when AutoVantage last conducted this survey, Portland drivers also earned the title of most courteous.
The rest of the top five cities come from all over the country:
- St. Louis
- San Francisco
And the same goes for the lowest-ranking cities (though the East coast seems to be better represented in this list):
- Washington DC
So as you're driving to work this week, be grateful; you could live in Houston!
