KILLEEN, TEXAS -- Three people remain in critical condition following Wednesday's shooting rampage on Fort Hood.

A total of 9 people, 8 males and 1 female, are still hospitalized at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Representatives from the hospital said the three people in critical condition suffered neck, spine and abdominal injuries.

Two people are in fair condition and four people were described as in good condition, staff said.

Four people were killed, including the soldier who shot and killed himself, according to military officials. There were 16 other people hurt during the shooting.

Counseling has been made available to post personnel who may need help dealing with the shooting tragedy. Military officials continued to investigate the shooting scene and shed light on a possible motive.
