PORTLAND -- More than 200 lbs. of marijuana, $350,000 in cash and three tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII were among the items seized in a Portland raid.
Two people were arrested and two are still at large.
The investigation began when police officers at Portland International Airport found $49,000 in cash inside the luggage of 39-year-old Kao Choy Saechao, said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
Vice division investigators searched his home in the 8400 block of Southeast 134th Drive and found 12 lbs. of marijuana, six guns and nearly $3,000 in cash, Simpson said.
Evidence there led them to search the home of 42-year-old Matthew Parker in the 3800 block of Northeast View Place in Gresham, where they found $300,000 cash, Simpson said.
They also found 212 pounds of marijuana and three Super Bowl tickets in a Cadillac Escalade parked outside, Simpson said.
Investigators found a marijuana grow site in the 1200 block of Northeast 126th Avenue, he added. And a storage locker that Matthew Parker allegedly rented in Florida also contained 45 pounds of marijuana, Simpson added.
Saechao was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for delivery and possession of marijuana, and money laundering. Edwin Logan Olson, who was detained at the Gresham site, was jailed on marijuana possession and delivery charges.
