VANCOUVER -- Police are looking for a person driving a dark colored pickup truck who may have witnessed a deadly Vancouver hit-and-run that killed two women Sunday night.

Police found the vehicle they think was involved in the hit-and-run after investigators served a search warrant Tuesday at an apartment complex at 7609 NE Vancouver Mall Drive, police said.

A white Toyota Tacoma pickup with front end damage was found in a garage at the complex and taken as evidence.

Irina Gardinant, 28, and 45-year-old Raisa Mosh died from injuries suffered in the crash at Northeast Vancouver Mall Drive and Northeast 72nd Street. Mosh's 12-year-old son suffered minor injuries.

Earlier this week, police said a black pickup truck may have been following the suspect vehicle, and that neither driver stopped to check on the victims after they were hurt.

On Friday, police said no evidence linked the black pickup to the crash, but authorities believe the driver or other occupants may have seen what happened.

Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said Wednesday afternoon the registered owner of the suspect vehicle was not cooperating with police. She said a group of people including the owner was possibly at a home in the 9900 block of Northwest 26th Avenue before the crash, watching the NFC Championship game.

The group may also have been in the 8700 block of Northeast 27th Avenue, she said. Anyone with information on the group or the truck's owner was asked to call the VPDtip line at 360-487-7402 or submit a tip here.

Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
