ASPEN, Colo. - A Colorado sheriff's office dispatcher confirmed that one person died and two people were injured when a plane crashed at the Aspen airport.

Thomas Wright, a dispatcher with the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office, said three people were aboard the plane Sunday. He said one person was severely injured and another suffered non-serious injuries.

Aspen Valley Hospital spokeswoman Ginny Dyche says the facility admitted two patients involved in the crash.

FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer said the plane was headed from Tucson, Ariz., and crashed upon landing.

I think I'll drive back to LA after seeing that, Kevin Nealon Tweeted. Didn't look like there could be survivors but just hearing some survived but critical.
