MCMINNVILLE -- Evergreen International Airlines plans to shut down its air cargo business at the end November, according to a report in the McMinnville News Register.

The closure does not affect the company's museum complex, its agriculture efforts or ground support subsidiaries, the newspaper reported.

The company had already sold its helicopter division last spring to Erickson Air-Crane of Portland for a reported $250 million.

The announcement was made to remaining employees via a voicemail, the newspaper reported.
