PORTLAND, Ore -- Dozens of officers swarmed to North Portland after a juvenile girl and a 19-year-old man were shot in a hail of gunfire Friday night, police said.

Police said more than a dozen shots were fired around 9:30 p.m. near 2800 N Willis Boulevard in the second double gang-related shooting in Portland in the past week. Arriving paramedics rushed the girl and man to Legacy Emanuel hospital, but police have not released their conditions.

North Peninsular Boulevard was closed from North Winchell Street to North Willis Boulevard but was reopened early Saturday morning.

A neighbor in the area told KGWhe was doing dishes in his home when he heard about a dozen shots.

It's pretty frightening, but I feel safe to see all the response. There's a lot of cops around, said Jayson Leckman.

Police have not released any suspect information. The Portland Police Bureau's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the shooting.

On Friday, Oct. 11, a teen was killed and a 22-year-old injured in a shooting at the Holgate TriMet Transit Station.

Police believe there may be witnesses to that shooting and release surveillance images of two people of interest Friday.
